Mobile phone companies are raising the communication high bar with every new release of their latest product. The Sony Ericsson brand is one of those companies at the forefront always pushing the latest technologies to be put into their newest phones. So here I will be highlighting one of their latest releases the Sony Ericsson C702a which I will have to say is just a bad ass looking phone.
Lets go through the basics of the phone. Right now it is available in two different colors cool cyan ( personal favorite) and speed black. The screen size is the standard 240×320 pixels and the phone itself weighs in at a solid 3.7 oz. Ok blah blah blah that’s all the basic boring stuff let’s get to the techie cool stuff shall we.
The C702a comes with Google Maps as it’s A-GPS find yourself anywhere system. There is a pre-loaded trail version of Way Navigator which will lead you to your destination every step of the way which also gives you access to an online travel planning tool and down-loadable maps. Of course it also plays your music and videos as well as online web browsing and email. The C702a pushes the 3G capabilities to the limit giving you monster fast broadband speed downloads and browsing.
The other feature I want to mention here is inclusion of a 3.2 megapixel Cyber-shot camera. With standard features you would normally see in a standard camera. Digital zoom and one touch photo fix to instantly improve the quality of your pictures. The camera also comes with face detection technology to help you center your shots.
Without a doubt though the best feature of perhaps the whole phone is the use of the phone and the GPS together to give you mobile phone geotagging. So now when you take your pictures the phone will automatically attache information about your time date and the mapped location of where that picture was taken. That my friend is a way cool feature especially when you consider that you can instantly share those picture on your blog, website or an email to a friend. The camera features alone definitely swing this phone to the favor of all the amatuer photograhpers out there.
